Kitchen serves brunch until 2.30, every day. Evening last seating 8.45.
House rules
- Dogs welcome, every day. Water bowls and towels by the door.
- Muddy boots are no problem, fresh off the fell or otherwise.
- High chairs, crayons and smaller portions of most of the brunch menu.
The fells are the point. Most of our guests arrive hungry from one.
Getting in and getting comfortable
Step-free entrance from the square, an accessible WC, and room for wheels between the tables. Menus are on the site, never PDFs, so they work with a screen reader. Tell us anything that would make the visit easier when you book and we will make it happen.

Do you take walk-ins?
Always at brunch: we deliberately keep tables back from online booking every day. Evenings are smaller and bookable, so a table is never guaranteed, but the bar stools are fair game.
Are dogs allowed inside?
Yes, everywhere except the long table during supper clubs. Water bowls and towels are by the door.
Can you handle group bookings?
Up to six books online. Seven or more get the community table: use the big-table form on the booking page and we will sort the rest.
Is there parking on the square?
A little, and it fills by nine on a good day. The long-stay on Fell Road is three minutes on foot and free after six.
Do you do gluten free?
Plenty, marked gf on the menus, and the kitchen is careful with cross-contact. Tell us when you book and we will look after you.
